Online Mastering / Unattended Sessions / E-Mastering is where you send in your mixes along with any instructions for formats to be delivered, subcodes to be entered, or any special requests (having everything essential in writing helps us guarantee that all your requests will be fulfilled without delay or confusion). We then send you links to reference files we post online for you to download, and you can then provide any notes for tweaks and revisions you wish (in which case will provide new reference files), or can give your approval when you are happy with what you hear. Once you have approved these we give all your material a final quality check listen through and create the final master formats. We then deliver your masters files to you or directly to your manufacturer online - or via UPS, FedEx or USPS if you ordered physical discs or tapes. Information to include when you place your order can be read here. How to deliver your mix files to us via the internet can be read here. All online, unattended mastering orders are billed as an all inclusive, no hidden cost, package rate based on the type of masters you are ordering, the number of tracks (i.e. individual songs, movements, or pieces) plus a charge per minute of total program length, and include one free revision if you wish this. You can get a quote for your project, as well as have this quote and your order info sent directly to us via email, by filling out our Contact Form. Attended Sessions are any studio session where you attend and are present in the studio with us while we work on your order. These are billed at an hourly rate (in increments of a quarter hour, with an hour minimum), with final masters (such as DDP files) billed additionally at a flat price per unit. We welcome your attendance at the mastering session if possible, as it allows a more direct line of communication so that we can more guarantee that you will be happy with the results from the get go. In general it takes us 1 hour to master the first track, and then budget around 20 to 40 minutes for each additional track, along with an additional hour for final assembly of any album master formats. A few things we recommend you bring with you to attended sessions are: a USB flash drive or external hard drive with about 4 gigabytes worth of empty space on it so you can leave with backups of all the files made during your mastering session a pair of headphones you are familiar with that you have spent time listening to lots of different material with as a way of double checking what you are hearing any reference files, CD's or vinyl records you want to listen to so you can get familiar with how my room sounds, or to demonstrate to me tracks you wish to match in level or vibe Please email us if you have any questions about our rates and services!
